Wish Upon a Satellite is a signed archival giclée reproduction of my original ink and watercolor painting.
One night when I was a teenager, I was sitting on my roof at night, smoking herbal cigarettes, and I accidentally wished on a satellite instead of a star. I always made the same wish: to find my one true love. At the time, I was dating my best friend, and it became clear to me at that moment that he was never going to love me the way I wanted and needed to be loved, and I had to break up with him. I was wishing on a satellite, not a star. This piece is both about not giving up on what you want and having the wisdom to go after what is real.
This piece is also available as an original painting here.
Prints ship flat in a rigid cardboard mailer with acid-free backing board and a plastic sleeve. They have a white border for framing. The colors may vary slightly according to your monitor settings.
