Mother Earth | Original Ink and Marker Drawing

Mother Earth is an 11”X14” original ink and marker drawing signed by the artist. It has been mounted on an acid-free matte and framed in a 16”X20” wooden frame with a plexiglass front to keep it lightweight and durable for transport. Professionally shipped, packaged, and insured. 

While beatific representations of mother earth are common, this is a more somber environmentalist perspective. This mother earth is pensive. Her nudity reflects her vulnerability contrasted with the stony geologic layers intimating the gravity of the situation. The dark silhouette of the city on the right and the wildlife on the left represent the two sides of our current political landscape. The polluted waterfall represents resources diminishing, and the storm clouded sunset represents time running out to make changes.
